Instead of re-hashing the same old approaches over land which has been in dispute for 60 years, he could have supported my proposal to create MORE LAND by doubling the area of the Gaza Strip by a landfill extending into the Mediterranean Sea.  The enlarged area should be connected to the West Bank by an elevated roadway aross Jewish land, thereby reducing the footprint of the roadway.  A second landfill should be created on the west coast of Israel to accomodate the relocation of Jewish settlers from the West Bank, negating the need for more Jewish settlements in that area.  Manmade islands are being built off the coast of Dubai to house millionaires and their yachts.  The Netherlands were increased in area by landfills and dikes 100 years ago, using wheelbarrows and shovels.  The Japanese have done the same in recent years. Why, in the name of common sense, cannot the world community do the same to alleviate the suffering of the ordinary Palestinian and Israeli citizens?  Labor would be provided by the unemployed Palestinians who are drawn into attacks on Israel.  Funds would be provided by the redirection of money being used to purchase weapons to be used in the current conflict.  The US should propose such action in the UN, silencing those who say we support Israel to the detriment of the Palestinians.  Perhaps VP Biden should have proposed a NEW solution to the subject conflict.
